Healing Ride Day 2
The first leg of today's ride is dedicated to USMC SSgt. Joe Goodrich. Joe was the Squad Leader of Pittsburgh Warrior, Jeff Thomas. SSgt Goodrich was killed by mortar fire while on patrol in Iraq in 2005. "He was one of the best Marines that I knew. He was my first squad leader, platoon sergeant, friend and mentor. I did not know another Marine in our unit that was looked up to as much as him." - Jeff Thomas
The first leg of our trip is dedicated to USN Chief Petty Officer Nick Checque, KIA 8 DEC 2012. Nick was from Monroeville, PA and was childhood friends with PGH Warrior Corrie Biggelow.
