Black and Gold: Breaking the Mold

As many of you have seen, the Malone Family Foundation is once again hosting their Black and Gold: Break the Mold event for mental health awareness for the 2nd year in a row.

The Pittsburgh Warriors have been invited to attend this event, but this years event will be run differently than last year. Last year it was comprised of two Pittsburgh Warrior “teams” with celebrities mixed in. This year, they are flipping the script, and is now a celebrity game (celebrities to be determined) with Pittsburgh Warriors, Johnstown Generals, Pennsylvania State Police, Pittsburgh Fire, Pittsburgh Police and It’s About the Warrior Foundation mixed in. In order to maximize all organizations involved, the Pittsburgh Warriors have been designated four (4) slots for players in this game.

Signups for this event will go up, today April 26th, and will close on Tuesday, April 30th at 2000 on the Wix site. Anyone will RSVPs for this event will be added to a selection pool. Once signups have closed and the selection pool has been generated, then the 4 players will be selected with an online randomizer conducted by Dave Jackel. Players will be announced on Wednesday, May 1st.

We will also be hosting a Pittsburgh Warriors table for this event, if you wish to volunteer to help man the table, please reach out to Dwayne or Dave.

Additionally, anyone that wishes to attend the game as a spectator, tickets for all Veterans and their families are free of charge. A post will be made on Wix forums and Discord with details on how to secure your tickets.
